About My Work

My identity as a creator and designer of children's books has shaped how I approach projects. The books I’ve designed, written, or illustrated are deeply personal, carrying with them my imagination, values, and my unique perspective. They are more than inanimate objects - they contain the voice, vision, and emotional life of me as their designer and creator. The boundary between myself and my work sometimes disappears, making each book a meaningful extension of who I am.

This portfolio shows 45-years of creating and designing hundreds of books, and being fortunate to work with so many talented writers, artists, and publishers with the desire to spark curiosity and inspire our fledgling readers.

I was the creator of the concepts, creation and design work of the majority of the books published by The Salariya Book Company Imprints: Book House, Scribblers and Scribo which were created in-house.
