Mythology, children's book illustration by David Salariya: The Great Flood, When the gods resolved to destroy humanity with a flood, the god Enki (known as Ea in Akkadian) opposed the decision and disclosed the plan to Ziusudra, a man renowned for his humility and obedience. Following Enki's instructions, Ziusudra constructed a massive boat, in which he successfully survived the flood.
